Coram Top and Dress

I used this pattern to make a top to wear over tights. I found this an easy pattern to make, and love the relaxed style and comfortable fit.

I really like this top! It's a stylish woven option for an easy-to-wear pull-on top. Quite often, I have trouble fitting into woven tops because they usually feel very tight across my athletic upper body. This top fit well, out of the gate. Maybe it's the raglan sleeves or the bust darts? Regardless, it's flattering and comfortable to wear, and I reach for it whenever I want an upgrade from the basic tee.

I love making the Coram top. The Coram made in a linen or lawn, elevates the normal jersey T-shirt in a stylish woven classic. I have learned flat-felling throught this pattern.

I have made 3 tops for one of my friends. One in a green - her favourite colour - cotton craft fabric, one in a Rose and Hubble poplin with a simple big blue flower design, and I made one in a 4oz denim. The denim one is my friend's favourite.

On my 'to sew' list I have 2 Coram tops for a different friend, who requested 1 in mustard coloured linen, and 1 in olive coloured linen. I have never worked with linen before, so the Coram top will be a nice introduction.

Both my friends, and myself, like the longer, rounded, all covering hem.
If making this top in a denim again, I think I will opt for a 6oz.
