The Kila Tank sewing pattern is a fitted tank top designed for stretchy knit fabrics. A slight racerback design gives this top a sporty look. Kila’s deep scoop neckline and armholes are finished with a bulk-free binding method that mimics ready-to-wear techniques.

The Kila Tank has several inches of negative ease making it a great basic layering tank top. Kila can be tucked into high-waist pants, overalls, and skirts. Because it’s sewn in super stretchy fabrics, Kila is also a great workout or pajama top for hot weather.

This is a sewing pattern intended to be used by the home sewist, not a finished garment.

Digital pattern is offered in sizes 0 to 18 (B-cup) and 12 to 30 (D-Cup).
Digital pattern includes tiled, A0 copy shop, and US copy shop files.
1/4" seam allowances included.
Step-by-step instructions with illustrations.
Well suited for the beginner sewist who has some experience sewing with stretchy knit fabrics.

Knit fabrics with at least 60% stretch and good recovery are recommended. Cotton/spandex and rayon/spandex blend rib knits are ideal for the Kila Tank.
Fabrics weighing 5 to 9 ounces per square yard are recommended.
100% cotton knit fabrics are not recommended due to poor recovery.

This is such a quick sew. I made the size 14, since that’s closest to my measurements, and I made no changes since the pattern is already really long so that you can tuck it into pants. It’s so comfortable to wear!

I’ve made so many of these! The best fitting tank ever! Love it!

I have made this tank for myself and others (a total of six times) and plan to make more. It's a great pattern with ribbed fabric as it form fitting and flattering. I can wear a bra with it.

This is the first Allie Olson pattern I bought and I have made 4 so far. Such a satisfying make, instructions are extremely well written and the construction is professional. It literally looks store bought.

Love the Kila tank. I have made several over the years in fact one is wearing out so I needed more! It’s hard to find a good tank and I have a long torso so I like being able to lengthen it for my own body.

This is one of my staple tank patterns. I've made it as written, I've modified the back straps, I've changed the length - it's such a versatile pattern, and always comes together so quickly! The instructions are easy to follow, even for a beginner, and the result is such a flattering tank. Definitely a tried-and-true pattern for me!

This is my favorite go to pattern for the perfect tank. I have made three already and just cut out two more! The pattern (as all of Allie's patterns) is well written and the instructions will help anyone make their new favorite tank!

I LOVE this pattern! It's my go-to tank top pattern. I've made several, and usually out of scraps. I have to shorten toe shoulder straps, and I have to do that on any strap top I make. Love that I can wear a bra under it. Can wear it a layering piece in winter or summer or all by itself on the right kind of day. Very easy and fast. Don't even think twice about should you or shouldn't you --- GO FOR IT!
