Learn how to sew an Elio Ballet Top with this expansion pack! This bundle includes a 50-minute video that will lead you through each step of modifying the Elio Top to make it a full wrap top with ties. The waist tie pattern pieces are included in the bundle, but students must purchase the Elio Top pattern separately. This expansion pack is intended for the intermediate sewist who has experience sewing with knit fabrics.

DETAILS
  • This expansion pack is meant to be used with either the digital or paper Elio Top sewing pattern. The pattern must be purchased separately.
  • Digital pattern pieces are included for the waist ties in sizes 0 to 18 (B-cup) and 12 to 30 (D-cup). A table is also included with waist tie dimensions.
  • The pattern pieces are formatted as a tiled print-at-home file (12 pages for the B-cup size range and 14 pages for the D-cup size range). There is no copyshop or A0 file for this expansion pack. If you'd like to be provided with the dimensions of the waist ties for your size, please send an email to allie@allieolson.com.
  • The expansion pack also includes a 50-minute video that leads you through the step-by-step process of sewing the ballet top.
  • Please note: There are no written instructions with illustrations for this expansion pack. The video is very thorough and offers tips and tricks for sewing knit garments.
SUPPLIES
  • Elio Top Pattern (must be purchased separately) - offered in sizes 0-30 (B-cup and D-cup)
  • Mid-weight, knit fabrics with lots of stretch and recovery. Cotton/spandex, bamboo/cotton blends, and modal fabrics are ideal. See Elio Top pattern instructions for amount needed.
  • Coordinating thread
REQUIRED MACHINES AND TOOLS
  • Sewing machine with a zig zag stitch
  • Iron & ironing board
  • Fabric Scissors and/or rotary blade and cutting mat
  • Sharp thread snips
